Anderson School visit – from the field to the cabinet

Five students visited the University of Alaska Museum of the North Herbarium Wednesday from Anderson school to process their specimens and learn about the herbarium, how to mount plants and explore the herbarium. Anderson is a small rural school in the Denali School District with a total of 27 students in grades K-12. The students did an amazing job building their own presses, collecting plants and making some miniature herbarium sheets as well as processing their own pressed plants.
